Commercial Finance Analyst role available - Coventry

Robert Half is currently recruiting for a?Commercial?Finance Analyst to join a rapidly growing and ever changing business based in Coventry.?

Duties will include:

• To provide?analytical?support, planning, partnering, and reporting functions
• Champion high-quality business cases and financial analysis to produce return on investment and payback outputs for new products and projects
• Assist in ensuring financial models are up to date with?actuals?and key ratios understood
• Carryout analysis to identify trends, performance issues or insight to support the?learnings?throughout the company
• Work closely with a wide range of stakeholder’s, within Finance and across the business, delivering high quality financial support
• Working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner, Finance Business Partner and Commercial Analysts to ensure all the required information is provided to produce a comprehensive monthly rolling forecast. Play a key role in the 5-year planning and annual budgeting process and periodic?reforecast?process.
• Ensure trends, data and variances are clearly understood to support the monthly performance meetings (through the monitor and reporting of?KPI’s?– both quantitative and qualitative) and clear commentary when deviating from budget
• Perform detailed investment appraisals on business opportunities and income streams for distance learning and blended learning study modes - both UK and international opportunities
• Provide input into the roll out of business intelligence tools (PowerBi) for the business?to support the drive for data quality.
• Providing detailed analysis of divisional and faculty performance, closely examining margin performance, and evaluating the cost-efficiency of each division and programme. Providing clear written explanation for variances and recommendations.

Support in the develop of new practices and processes for the finance department which supports wider application across the company, considering multiple factors, analysing complex data and carrying out design and feasibility testing as required.??

Profile:

Part or fully qualified with a recognised accounting body, and/or relevant degree, plus significant hands-on experience in similar or related roles. You must also have strong excel skills and comminication?skills
