Comments on Chiba City's Commitment to Adoption of the FY 2019 Drone Utilization Promotion Project

As we distributed a press release, we have received an order for the "Programming course for elementary school teachers in the city" business in Chiba City's drone utilization promotion business in 2019.

As I interact with foreign companies on a regular basis, I cannot help but worry about Japan's delay in STEM education. I felt a sense of crisis as to whether Japanese children living in Society 5.0 would be able to survive on an equal footing with the rest of the world. Our company, on the other hand, is a drone service providing company, so we are not in a position to boast in terms of education. But there's something I can suggest from a drone perspective. This sense of crisis led to the start of the drone programming business.

A precondition for the public offering of the Chiba City Drone Utilization Promotion Project is that "Propose the contents of operations that can be ordered by the city and that can be expected to improve administrative efficiency (Labor saving, cost reduction, safety improvement, etc.)". Drone programming isn't directly related to government efficiency. In other words, at this point, I knew that even if I applied for the public invitation, the odds of winning were low.

However, I thought that if I missed this opportunity, it would be impossible for my beloved STEM education in Chiba City to advance, and I applied with the feeling that I would make the impossible possible. I judged that there was no chance of winning even if I did it in a normal way, so on the day of the presentation, I did not use any power points or materials, and for 10 minutes without cheering, I just passionately talked about my thoughts, saying "I want to use 1 million yen of the project budget for the children who will lead Japan in the future.". I intentionally shortened the presentation time to spend more time for Q&A.

The work adopted this time will actually be handled by the board of education. It is a lecture divided into 3 times for 120 teachers of elementary school in Chiba city. This will put a heavy burden on the people of the Education Center and the elementary school teachers when they are busy at the end of the fiscal year. I would like to convey even a little good information and do my best to introduce this system in schools from next year.

And for the future of children in Japan, our company is committed to continuing to work wholeheartedly on STEM drone projects.
