Commenting on LinkedIn can provide exposure for you in and outside your network and help you gain visibility, discoverability, and credibility with new people who run across your comments for the first time.
With over 930 million on the LinkedIn platform, you can engage with professionals in and out of your industry, expand your network, build relationships, and your brand.
You can showcase your knowledge and expertise by leaving insightful comments to establish yourself as a subject matter expert and thought leader.
You can engage in networking opportunities with like-minded professionals, potential mentors or mentees, colleagues, future employers, and more.
Not only can you learn from others, but others can also learn from your comments on someone else’s post or someone else who commented, or you can engage with comments on your own posts. Some of your network will see your comment(s), and some of their networks will also see your comment(s), which will expand your reach.
Your engagement can help to develop stronger connections and build rapport with individuals in your network, which may lead to new collaborations, referrals, business opportunities, internships, jobs, and more.
You can stay updated with the latest industry trends, news, and developments by engaging on the platform. Focusing on others’ posts and comments may help you stay relevant and is a great way to show you are a supportive and encouraging professional.?
I’m sure you have heard that consistency is key. The more active you are, the more reach you will have.
Here are a few posts on commenting that I liked, and these will provide tips, ideas, and insights.

Commenting can also help you become a better writer as you articulate your thoughts, engage in meaningful discussions, and gain different perspectives, leading to personal growth and self-reflection. More commenting can lead to more eyeballs on you!

1 年I am proof of this practice, Lynne, that commenting on posts has increased my visibility, discoverability & credibility. I continue to tell introvert colleagues that posting content is not the only way for visibility, discoverability & credibility. However, you pointed out a good aspect about consistency, but I would also advise those commenting to provide some value or insight in those comments rather than non-value-added comments like "Good job!" or "Yup!".
I scale companies w/ SEO & content. Daily posts about the process. 7x Founder (Exit in 2019).
1 年Thanks so much for the inclusion & mention Lynne! Flattered and greatly appreciate it!

1 年I had no idea when we met how much information and insights I would learn from you. LinkedIn is so massive and I have noticed coaches creating company sites, putting up role postings, and it turned out to be a masterclass or some sort of training they were offering. Can they do that? Is there a reporting mechanism?
