Commemorating World Day of Remembrance
Every year on the third Sunday in November, the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, we pause with millions of people around the world to commemorate and honor those killed or seriously injured in road traffic crashes.
Not only is it a time to reflect on the lives taken each year due to traffic violence, but it’s also a time to support the family and friends who have lost their loved ones, many of whom continue to advocate for change on our streets, like Melissa Wandall .
Whether driving, walking, biking, scootering, or taking public transportation, more can be done to improve safety for all road users and to educate people on the safest ways to move around their communities. We’re proud to partner with cities and municipalities taking the lead in this effort.
At Verra Mobility, we take our commitment to improving safety seriously. The work we do to create technology and build holistic programs to develop safer streets, safer driving behaviors, and safer overall environments can help reduce the millions of lives lost to senseless traffic-related crashes.
Join us in honoring the World Day of Remembrance this Sunday, November 20.
