COMING UP AT SHAKTI & THE JAN FOUNDATION

Following a really successful and well attended Domestic Abuse Awareness & Mentoring Training programme, we just thought we’d share what’s also in the pipeline.

Thursday 26th September - Empowering Yoga 10am – 11am

This is modern fusion of Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. It’s all about empowering posture, flow, breath and mindfulness. This session will leave your feeling relaxed and peaceful and in control.

Beginners welcome – please wear comfortable clothing – mats provided.

Must book: FREE

Thursday 26th September - Yin Yoga 11.30am – 12.30pm

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga which incorporate postures that are held for longer periods of time (ranging for 45 seconds to 2 minutes). Yin yoga stretches and targets the deep connective tissue and is perfect for increasing circulation and improve flexibility helping us to regulate the body's flow of energy.

Beginners welcome – please wear comfortable clothing – mats provided.

Thursday 3rd October Coffee Morning 10am – 12pm

Join us for coffee and cake and open conversations.

Thursday 10th, 17th, 24th October Stop, Look, Listen (3 days) 9.30am – 2.30pm

Having experienced abuse, a person may have to deal with a myriad of confusing practical and emotional issues, that will hinder their recovery, such as self-blame, self-doubt, fear that they will not be believed or are going mad, feeling guilty and stupid among many others.

Understanding the impact that past abuse will have on your new life is essential if you are to truly own your power and take back control. THIS IS DAY ONE OF A 3 DAY PROGRAMME, designed to give you the time and space to reflect, to review, to listen to your heart and to start making the changes you deserve.
