If you type Numb in google and search for it’s meaning then probably you will find the following Deprived of the power of physical sensation Or Deprive of feeling or responsiveness. For today’s discussion let us choose the later part of the definition as I feel the 80% of the world if not more than that are deprived of feeling responsive.

The current pandemic situation has worsen it to the limit of infinity. The world was already suffering with wars, refugee problems, border conflicts, economic downturns and what-nots but above all comes our crown price COVID. Who has grabbed all the attention and triumphed towards nations after nations if not by death tolls but surely by extreme bad economic conditions.

It was just that day that SpaceX and Nasa launched a successful mission, another country made huge advancement in military supremacy but as far as healthcare is concerned we NUMBLY trying and I even do not know what does it mean but I would like to call it that.

The billionaires club Amazon, Facebook, Google, Zoom they rocketed their revenue, leave them, a normal mask, sanitizer and toilet paper businessmen has made more markedup profit than anyone else. It does not matter wether people need mask or not, it does not matter wether people need oxygen or not, all that matters is capitalism is my religion and I am a disciple of Milton Friedman. I need money, more money even if at the cost of blood of patients, I remember once I saw a movie blood diamond, I guess now is the time we make another one Blood Mask. Again I am Numbly surprised.

A pandemic was supposed to bring people together but it has brought businessmen together, needless to say they are also human beings or are they really?

Lastly, I have seen normal security guards wearing proper PPEs and Masks but I have not seen a doctor wearing a normal OT dress and treating COVID patients, PPEs are a distant dream. I have seen a doctor beaten to death. I have seen senior and veteran professors dying out of COVID and I am Numbly surprised. 

Now the question comes, was COVID this serious or we have made it this serious. Was there any better way to deal with it, could we have prevented the communal transmission. Could it had been contained . Only time will answer all these questions or the answer will come god forbid when another pandemic hits us.
