Comets Trying to Hit Earth: A Cosmic Comedy
It’s just another day on Earth. You might be lounging in bed or binge-watching your favorite show. But up in space, a group of comets is having a secret meeting to discuss their long-standing goal: hitting Earth. Yes, comets—those big, icy space rocks zooming around the universe like they’re late to a party!
The Great Plan: Earth Smash
“Alright, team,” says Comet Sunil, the leader. “We’ve been circling Earth forever, and we still haven’t hit it. What’s the deal?”
Comet Joshi, the oddball, comes in. “Hey, remember 1997? I got super close! Everyone thought I was going to crash into Earth!”
The others roll their eyes. “Yeah, Joshi, but you missed by miles. You’re like that guy who brags about almost winning the lottery because he got one number right.”
Joshi looks confused. He has no idea what a lottery is.
The Gravity Problem
Sagar, the complainer, steps up. “It’s not easy! Earth keeps moving, and that annoying moon always blocks my path. Every time I aim for Earth, I end up drifting off into space.”
Karan sighs. “We know! The moon is like Earth’s bouncer. But if asteroids can hit Earth, why can’t we? We’re just as tough!”
The comets nod, feeling a bit better—for a moment.

The PR Disaster
Comet Bhatt, who loves attention, interrupts. “Let’s not forget how popular we are! Remember Halley’s Comet? Every 76 years, humans get excited, take pictures, and throw parties for me!”
Karan shoots Bhatt a glare. “This isn’t about fame! We’re supposed to smash into Earth, not just wave hello!”
The (Not-So-Great) Plan
Karan pulls out a space whiteboard (because anything is possible in space). “Okay, here’s the plan. We wait for the perfect moment when Earth is distracted—like when humans are freaking out about their zodiac signs. Then we strike!”
The comets lean in, intrigued, and start brainstorming their plan.
The Truth: Comets Are Bad at Aiming
But here’s the catch: no matter how hard they try, these comets just can’t hit Earth. They always miss, usually by millions of miles. Maybe it’s just Earth’s luck—or maybe comets are terrible at aiming.
“Well, we gave it our best shot,” Karan says, feeling defeated. “I guess we’ll try again in a thousand years or so.”
The comets drift off into space, with Joshi heading in the completely wrong direction.
And Earth? It keeps spinning, blissfully unaware that a bunch of bumbling space rocks just failed to crash the party.
Maybe one day they’ll get it right. But until then, we can enjoy the light show whenever they pass by!
