It Comes From Within
It Comes From Within
A world where it is safe to love is a world where it is safe to live.
Peace has to be created, in order to be maintained. It is the product of Faith, Strength, Energy, Will, Sympathy, Justice, Imagination, and the triumph of principle. It will never be achieved by passivity and quietism. Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding. Leave behind the passive dreaming of a rose-tinted future. The energy of happiness exists in living today with roots sunk firmly in reality's soil. The formula of life is simple. It is the formula of giving - giving courage, attention, peace, love and comfort to yourself and society. An act of kindness may take only a moment of our time, but when captured in the heart the memory lives forever.
In love there are two evils: war and peace. Awkward silences and laughter rule most the world. People are so terrified of awkward silences that they will literally go the passive aggressive route and go to war within self rather than face an awkward silence with laughter. What's to be believed? Or does it matter at all? When mass murder's been answered with mass murder, rape with rape, hate with hate, there's no longer much meaning in asking whose ax is bloodier. Evil, on evil, piled on evil. Was there any justification for what they did or was there? We only know what that thing says, and that thing is a captive. The world is too brutal for me I am glad there is such a thing as the grave I am sure I shall never have any rest till I get there. Peace and justice are two sides of the same coin. Enlightenment is the complete flowering of body, mind and the soul.
Faith, in its most correct form, never removes responsibility; it removes fear of responsibility. The results are complete opposites with the greater saying, 'God's will is my delight. Something wonderful begins to happen with the simple realization that life, like an automobile, is driven from the inside out, not the other way around. As you focus more on becoming more peaceful with where you are, rather than focusing on where you would rather be, you begin to find peace right now, in the present. Then, as you move around, try new things, and meet new people, you carry that sense of inner peace with you. It's absolutely true that, "Wherever you go, there you are.
Somewhere along the way, there develops within the soul a yearning that can no longer be ignored, a craving for the great love affair. We feel it drawing ever closer. It is the greatest of them all. It cannot fail. It is all consuming. It is incomparable. It is the love affair with our own true nature and the source from which it comes. The desire is in all of us but, more often than not, it is ignored for other interests. We wrestle with each interest, trying to make it work, growing with each adventure until the light has grown bright enough for us to reach for it. It's an irony of our times that (wo)men seeking peace must make war.
Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything - anger, anxiety, or possessions - we cannot be free. The search for meaning is really the search for the lost chord. When the lost chord is discovered by humankind, the discord in the world will be healed and the symphony of the universe will come into complete harmony with itself. It is better to be small, colorful, sexy, careless, and peaceful, like the flowers, than large, conservative, repressed, fearful, and aggressive, like the thunder lizards; a lesson, by the way, that the Earth has yet to learn.
When love and hate are both absent, everything becomes clear and undisguised. Make the slightest distinction, however, and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart. If you wish to see the truth, then hold no opinions for or against anything. To set up what you like against what you dislike is the disease of the mind.
Where's the point in fighting and slaying if you can make a friend out of anybeast instead of a foe?
The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.
