Each Saturday there's this nagging feeling like I need to be doing more - except I know you have to recharge.
In between some light chores you gotta have some music and comedy.
At a recent event, I introduced myself "Hey Madison, I'm Kevin Fream. Nice to meet you."
Little did I know that Madison Malloy had gone from Wall Street to doing comedy around the country to now an author and business podcaster.
She scanned my LinkedIn QRcode and said, "I have to follow you and can't connect? What are you some kind of celebrity?"
I just laughed and thought "That's ironic". It was a heady group of nationally prominent doctors, lawyers, and financial consultants all with their own books and TV appearances.
It was inspiring to hear the stories, but I felt this twinge not of being out of place - more like the sharp realization that there were so many competitive players with skills and resources in the marketplace.
Technology is a broader industry than law, healthcare, and finance combined. For three decades, people have watched a quirky Scotsman, blind black man, and clueless android automatically understand and fix any type of alien technology on Star Trek.
Comedy is not something you want when there are technology problems. Yet it's often assumed you know every gadget or program ever invented, but you can be replaced by Google and it's OK to harass you while you're literally saving someone's future because you're only working on a computer.
Rule Number 4 at our firm is "Lighten Up" and we spend 2x per week drilling on irrational behavior and objection handling.
Daily Mission:?Give yourself a break and have a laugh today.

1 年True. But some days we get it and some days we don't. Once we decide on the goal it's better to divide it into bite-sized and add them to your daily or weekly tasks. Every time you complete that bite-sized task you realise you are close to your goal than yesterday it will give you motivation and that motivation drives you towards your goal. Plan action from that you will get motivation then you reach your goal eventually. What technique do you use to get daily motivation towards your goal?
