There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning.

Quote I’m pondering Today:
“There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning.”
— Louis L'Amour
This quote got me thinking about my health journey and I bet many of you can relate. Back when I worked my corporate job as a CPA, and I was obese, sick and tired, the types of thoughts that went through my head daily were the following:
“I just need to make it to the end of the day”…
“I just need to make it to the weekend”…
“I just need to make it till the next vacation”…
“If I just got that next promotion”…

“If I just got that next raise”…etc
And then boom…I can’t bend over, I can’t put on my socks, I can’t tie my shoes, I can barely get off and on the toilet…but worst of all, when my youngest daughter was a baby, I couldn’t pick her up from her crib. My life sucked, and the traditional medical model wasted 18 months of my health.
I won’t bore you with the details here, but in taking matters into my own hands to heal my back, my autoimmune condition cleared up, the last 60 pounds of my 100-pound weight loss melted away, I had more energy, I slept better.
Wow I thought, I finally figured it out. I thought I was finished. What a foolish notion that was. As I had more energy and focus, I learned more and quickly realized I was holding myself back. Getting back to my health baseline was just the beginning. I now had a new direction, a new purpose. Instead of just trying to make it to the end of the week, my mission has become to be a healthy, fun-loving centenarian and positively effect the lives of 1 million people through my message.
When I was unhealthy, I was thinking small. Now that I am the best I have ever been, I have the energy, cognition and desire to think big, to help more people.
I am eight years into my new journey…and I am just beginning.
