10 companies from the Philippines exporting virgin coconut oil (VCO), coconut flour, and other processed coconut products will participate in the international trade fairs Seoul Food and Hotel Show in Seoul, Korea.

The Philippine government's Department of Trade and Industry – Export Marketing Bureau (EMB), the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC)-Seoul in collaboration with the International Trade Center (ITC) is supporting the companies under the EU-funded ARISE Plus Philippines project in the trade fair.

?Seoul Food and Hotel Show is one of the largest and one of the most prestigious food and beverage exhibitions in Asia. This year, SFH Show attracted 1,316 exhibitors from 40 exhibiting countries and 42,144 trade visitors.

?The selected exhibitors will not only meet potential buyers but also engage in market scanning activities before the show. Two online training sessions will also be organized by the International Trade Centre, namely, on trade fair participation and preparation targeted to the SHF show.

Furthermore, an additional onsite training on Korean market requirements, how to talk to buyers and good practices for successfully trade fair participation will also be delivered jointly by PTIC-Seoul and ITC two days before the exhibition day.

The Philippine delegation includes Philippines coconut exporters including Wellnesscare International Corporation, AG Pacific Nutriceuticals Corporation, Tropicana Food Products, Inc., Greenlife Coconut Products Philippines Inc., Prosource International, Inc., Amazing Foods Corporation, Andy Albao Corporation, Tongsan Industrial Development Corporation, Fruits of Life, Inc., and Cattleya & Rose Gourmet Foods Trading.

?The market linkages mission is closely aligned with the Philippine Export Development Plan 2023-2028 and the DTI's priority Industry Clusters for 2023-2028, with a specific focus on bolstering food security and agriculture.?The participation in Seoul Food and Hotel Show trade fair is organized through the ARISE Plus Philippines.

The ARISE Plus Philippines project is enabling Philippine exporters to take advantage of European Union (EU) market access and the trade privileges granted under the Generalized System of Preference (GSP+). It supports the overall EU-Philippines trade relationship and trade-related policies.?

ARISE Plus Philippines is a project of the Government of the Philippines, with the Department of Trade and Industry as lead partner together with the Department of Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration, Bureau of Customs, the Department of Science and Technology, as well as the private sector. It is funded by the EU with the International Trade Centre (ITC) as the technical agency for the project.?
