COME AND GO JOBS

Over time, jobs come and go, but which ones will vanish and which will accelerate over the next 5 years or so?? The World Economic Forum has some ideas about that.? Worldwide, the jobs that will disappear the fastest by 2030 are cashiers, post office clerks and bank tellers.? The jobs that will be needed over the next 5 years are construction and delivery workers. ?The most telling number is that 41% of all employers worldwide plan to eliminate or reduce the number of employees by the year 2030, five years from now. What about those jobs in the United States?? A similar but slightly different story.

?

The U.S. will be different from the world in general because our economy Is driven more toward services, and technology is introduced quicker here than in other parts of the world.? Factors like macroeconomic trends, technological advancements and demographic shifts all play a roll in the future of America.? BUT, the political arena is beginning to see a sharper change in U.S. policies.

?

Jobs on the incline?

·?????? Certainly healthcare, based on the aging population and demand for medical services.? Doctors, nurses, care givers, therapists, social workers and counselors are needed.

·?????? Technology Jobs: Artificial intelligence (AI) is a driver along with big data, and software development. Specialists, analysts and engineers in all fields will be required.

·?????? Green Economy Jobs: Focus is on energy generation, agriculture and water conservation, but will shift away from issues of climate change.

·?????? Delivery Drivers and Logistics Workers: E-commerce has changed the way sales and deliveries, warehousing and logistics are made. Robots and people will work hand-in-hand.

·?????? Construction Workers: Infrastructure projects and housing demands will drive this segment, including electricians, plumbers and carpenters.

·?????? Food Processing Workers: ?Food production will continue to evolve with technology and changing consumer preferences.? Food processing roles will increase.

·?????? Sales: Jobs requiring highly knowledgeable sales persons, plus technical sales with a person-to-person engagement will be needed.

?

Jobs on the Decline?

·?????? Administrative Roles: Word processors, typists, data entry, telephone operators, and switchboard operators will decline. Automation and technology will streamline these tasks.

·?????? Order takers and telemarketers: Low skilled sales and telemarketing will shift towards digital marketing. Brick and mortar sales are declining while digital sales are increasing.

·?????? Manufacturing: Jobs that can be automated will be.? Those that require higher level skills or certifications will be in demand with raising pay.?

?

In summary, jobs that can be automated or replaced with technology will decline.? Jobs that need a technical background or provide a personal service will grow.
