Subject line: Business Continuity and Working From Home
Dear [Team/Company Name]
Firstly, we would like to thank you all for your cooperation and for your patience. In line with government guidelines, we’re all now to work from home.
Whilst working from home is not foreign to some of you, it can be challenging for those who are not familiar with it. Below we've put together some tips on how to successfully plan your time at home to remain as high-energy and productive as possible.
Tips To Successfully Work From Home
Plan Regular Team Communication: We encourage teams to come together via Zoom/Skype/BlueJeans/Google HangOut each morning, support each other with regular WhatsApp and Phone communication. Ensure that you all have a clear, shared plan and definition of your personal and team goals look like, so we can all gain from this experience.
Craft a strong day plan and routine: Simply, do what you do in the office. Follow your schedule, structure your day and don’t lose sight of your goals. Staying focused will keep your energy and your output high.
Dedicate a workspace: AKA, don’t work from your bed or sofa. This is bad for your posture and terrible for your energy and output. Set yourself up at a table, raise your laptop with a raiser and keep all essentials within easy reach.
Stick to your working hours: It can be really easy to work non-stop whilst working from home, as we lack the schedule of arriving and leaving work. Stick to your hours, don’t go beyond them unless you absolutely must.
Stay Online: Always. Be. Connected. Check your email, WhatsApp regularly and make sure your internet connection is fast enough to keep things going at all times.
If you live with others: Work together and be transparent about your expectations during working hours.
If you have any issues with equipment (i.e. Laptop, Phone, WiFi), let your Manager know immediately so we can find a quick solution. We want to make sure that you have everything you need to reach your goals, contribute to our mission as a company and make the best out of this situation.
If you have any questions or want to share your thoughts with anyone, please contact your Manager, Team Members, Myself or a Director. We are always here to hear your listen, support and answer any questions you might have.
Thank you all. Now let's crack on.
