Combating Solar Misinformation with Experience and Meaningful Relationships

There is significant misinformation out there in the wild about solar power. Maybe you've seen it. Statements like, "If you live in (your state here) we'll install your solar panels for free," or something similar. We've seen them all. Many of those statements are completely misleading.

This breaks our hearts because the solar industry has always been an opportunity for freedom for its users, greener energy for our climate, and an endless supply of energy for places that may not have reliable energy sources, like big cities or rural areas. But, because of misinformation and stigma, solar is often dismissed as a scam or not worth the investment.

We'll be the first ones to tell you that solar isn't for everyone. There are LOTS of situations in which it does NOT make sense to install a solar power system - it can be expensive and when the math doesn't work, the math doesn't work.

But we are also here to tell you that solar power is EXTREMELY beneficial when it is well-researched, planned, budgeted, and installed correctly! And outside of the potential financial benefits, some other things come along with it:

• Freedom from dependency on the Grid.
• Use of a fully sustainable, flexible, and renewable form of energy.
• Control over the amount of energy you store and consume (and maybe even sell!).
• That awesome feeling of self-sufficiency that comes from providing for yourself.

Maybe, you've heard all of this before. Maybe, you know somebody who knows somebody who got solar. Or, perhaps you've heard horror stories from the same type of source.

If there is anything we've learned in our 45 years of work in this industry, it's that having someone who truly KNOWS what they are talking about walk you through the reality of what your energy situation is, and how solar can play a part in it makes all the difference.

Over the last 45 years, we've seen the solar power industry be born, and develop from an experiment to a quickly growing and evolving industry - to the point where companies are jumping into the industry with little to no experience because they see the opportunity to make a quick buck telling people they "can get cheap solar power", or "get their panels installed for free."
