THE COMBATANTS- Uttarakhand's Mightiest Heroes
The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow- Nelson Mandela.
Everyone knows how severely the pandemic has struck the entire world. It is so good to see that NGOs & individuals are also trying their best to save people apart from the doctors & the government. There are so many people that we should be thankful to for proving that real-life heroes exist.
This article is about the heroes of Uttarakhand. This group of people does not have a specific name; they go by Raghav Juyal & friends. I thought of giving them a name - "The Combatants." I am neither a news reporter nor a journalist, just an ordinary girl. This article is simply an overview; I might not be able to provide you with all the details about their work.
I am writing this article being a resident of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and as an eyewitness to a change that "The Combatants" brought. I want people to know the power of our youth and how important it is to raise our voices at the right time.
Where do I begin?
The city went into a major crisis because of the drastic increase in covid positive cases. We ran out of resources, and it became challenging for people to find oxygen cylinders, ICU/Ventilator beds, timely health care facilities, etc. A massive queue outside the hospitals made it hard to manage and impossible to save people's life. The city was in chaos.
Raghav Juyal is a famous dancer, choreographer, host, actor, in short, a multi-talented person hailing from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Raghav, his family & friends were already working for people's welfare individually. Looking at the condition of the city and how things were going out of control, he made a video requesting all the people and organizations to lend a helping hand. His request spread like wildfire, and many organizations came forward to help Uttarkhand and its people.
The Combatants shed light on the city's condition and worked on the ground to help people. From sharing information to gathering and delivering resources, sending help to villages/districts in the mountains, they are doing it all. Going beyond their comfort zones to visit various places to distribute food to those in need is worth all the appreciation. They've acted as a task force and have been working day and night for almost two months.

The Combatants (Raghav Juyal, Yashasvi Juyal, Viraj Sikand, Ishan Bhandari, Rajat Gautum, Naman Nanda, Dipesh Manral, Deepak Ramola, and many more) have helped and are still helping in fighting this battle. (I want to apologize in advance if I missed out on some names.) They have inspired so many youngsters and people to help each other. It's a revolution that they started, and now it's our job to help them reach the goal. If not financially, we should help spread the word, tell people about their reform, and use social media to share their stories.
The situation could've been worse but is relatively better because of their help. We are still fighting the virus, and these guys are still working as hard as possible. They are an example for everyone; we need more youngsters like them to help create a better future. The fight is not over, "The Combatants" need our help to win this combat against the virus.
I am sharing some details through which people can help. Please help them help others.
