Colorverse and WebTVAsia Collaborate with Tourism Malaysia for the Debut of "Let’s Go MRXD Season 2" in the Metaverse

KUALA LUMPUR, 26th October 2023 – Colorverse is preparing to unveil Malaysia's iconic sculpture featured in "Let's Go MRXD Season 2," a series that followed the adventures of Thomas Kok, also known as Mr. Xiao Dong (MRXD), a versatile Malaysian artist. The Metaverse will be constructed on the online gaming platform, Spatial, and this unveiling is the result of a collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, as well as WebTVAsia and Prodigee Asia Talent.
This latest collaboration, drawing inspiration from the creation of the Mandarin travel vlog "Let's Go MRXD Season 1" earlier this year, showcases Thomas's journey as he embarks on an adventure through the northern states of Malaysia. His aim is to engage with the local community through storytelling, coffee, and music, all within the framework of a reality show concept.
Scheduled for release this month, "Let's Go MRXD Season 2" will delve deeper into Thomas's exploration of Malaysia's central and southern states, encompassing Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Pahang, Selangor, Putrajaya, and Kuala Lumpur. This journey will be facilitated by advanced mapping and Web 3.0 technology powered by Colorverse.
The viewers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Malaysian experience through 12 iconic landmarks featured in the Mini Malaysia segment of the mini-games. These landmarks include the Penang Bridge, Cameron Highlands, Kellie's Castle, Batu Caves, Church of the Visitation & Seremban Train Station, Red Square in Melaka, KL & Petronas Twin Tower in Kuala Lumpur, Floating Mosque in Kuala Perlis, Crystal Mosque/Sea Turtle in Terengganu, Tanjung Piai in Johor, and Wau Bulan in Kelantan. Within this virtual world, they will undertake various tasks while exploring these attractions. Additionally, there is a designated public area within the metaverse where live events, including meet-and-greet sessions with Thomas, will take place.
