Color Masterbatch

A?color masterbatch, or color concentrate, is a granule used for coloring thermoplastics. It?consists of one or more colorants and a polymer-specific carrier resin.

Color masterbatch are divided into white masterbatch, black masterbatch and other colors. Color masterbatch has several types of carriers, like PP, PE, ABS, PVC, PVA. We need use different pelletizing systems according to the carrier and color.

When choosing machines, we normally separate three types for white masterbatch, black and colors. This can make sure the masterbatch have no impurities.

Black masterbatch( add less than 45% carbon black): PE use double-stage twin screw extruder and single screw extruder with water-ring hot cutting system. PP use under water hot cutting system.

White materbatch: PE use twin screw extruder with water-ring hot cutting system. PP use air cooling hot cutting system.

Other colors: twin screw extruder with water cooling strand cutting system. We suggest use more small output machines, which can make more colors at the same time.

When the percentage of colorant?is more than 45%-50%, it uses kneader with single screw extruder.

Color masterbatch is applied in many fields of the plastic industry that create convenience and effectiveness for the production:

1. Film blowing, film extrusion (packaging film, elastic film, agricultural and construction film, diaphragm, garbage bag, multi-layer bag)

2. Blowing Film

3. Injection molding: home appliances, toys, garden furniture, potted plants, buckets, boxes, electronics, barrels, boxes ...)

4. Blow molding of bottles

5. Extrusion of sheets, fibers, and cables
