Colliers brokers sale of 959 Islington Street in Portsmouth to Chinburg Properties
Colliers, a global leader in commercial real estate services, is pleased to announce the sale of 959 Islington Street in Portsmouth, NH. According to the Rockingham County Registry of Deeds, the 7,500± SF commercial building was acquired by PWED 2, LLC, an affiliate of Chinburg Properties, for $1,800,000. The transaction was facilitated by listing agents David Choate and Abigail Bachman of Colliers, with Jared Trayer, of Chinburg Properties, representing the buyer.
Located in Portsmouth’s dynamic West End, the property was part of the historic Morley Button Factory and features three office/retail spaces. Unit 1 houses the New Hampshire Theatre Project, a well-regarded arts organization; Unit 2 is occupied by Bill Truslow Photography, an award-winning commercial photographer; and Unit 3 is home to Port One Architects, a respected architectural firm with a strong regional presence.
“This acquisition supports the ongoing revitalization of Portsmouth’s West End, bringing fresh opportunities for growth and innovation,” said Eric Chinburg, President of Chinburg Properties. “With our track record of thoughtful development, we are excited to enhance the economic vitality and community engagement of this thriving neighborhood.”
This investment marks Chinburg Properties’ latest addition to Portsmouth’s ever-evolving commercial landscape. The company’s commitment to preserving and enhancing historic properties aligns with the character of the West End, ensuring continued vibrancy and sustainable development.
