Business Ethics 4
How does government try to regulate technology? Explain why you feel that way to support your statement.?
Governments try to regulate technology by monitoring functions and ensuring that they all comply with laws and business ethics that protect consumers and potential buyers. That is pretty much all they can do besides investing in technology for their own reasons. We live in a time where anyone can truly create anything with the tap of a smartphone and the click of a laptop. How can you manage billions of individuals that have access to almost unlimited amounts of knowledge???
Even if they do manage that, there will always be someone that has a counter to that and another person will do the same endlessly and eventually. Tools can be bought on the internet, and anything can be sold on the black market along with knowledge and instructions from someone. Governments still have control only because these companies operate in their country to which they can stall, interrupt, and/or even ban their activities with penalties and fines. With technology’s rapid growth, the future remains uncertain regarding their regulations.?
