College Ending! BBA Finished!! Now what?

As I sit down to write this, my heart overflows with gratitude and a bit of nostalgia.

College is ending, and my Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) journey is coming to an end.

It feels like just yesterday I was a not so shy fresher, nervous about what the future held.

Today, I am a confident graduate, ready to step into the professional world. But before I talk about what's next, I want to say a big thank you.

First, to my college Graphic Era Hill University , Bhimtal Campus – thank you for providing a nurturing environment where I could grow, learn, and thrive.

The campus, the facilities, and the atmosphere all played a big role in shaping who I am today.

To my faculties, sir and ma'am, Santoshi Sengupta , Dr. Nidhi Pant , Sandeep Bisht , Kamal Sanguri , Prakash Garia , Ankit Tiwari , Surabhi Saxena , Ramanuj Tewari, Alok Upadhyay , Mallika Tewari , Isha Tewari , Farah Khan, Jayant Gautam , Amit Mittal , Ashish Sah, Bhavesh Joshi , Rohit Kumar , Somesh Sharma, and all the other faculty and staff members, you have been the guiding stars in my academic journey.

Each lecture, assignment, and discussion helped me learn something new and pushed me to strive for excellence. Your support and encouragement were invaluable.

A special thanks to Deeksha Tewari Ma’am. Your mentorship was instrumental in my growth. Your guidance through my journey with research papers was nothing short of extraordinary. I couldn't have achieved what I did without you.

And to my batch mates, thank you for the countless memories.

From last moment revision to copying assignments, from celebrations to sharing our worries, from fights to reconnecting we have been through it all together.

You made this journey fun and memorable.

My Journey: From Shy to Confident

When I joined college, I was a not so shy but somewhat introverted person. Speaking in front of a crowd was one of my biggest fear.

However, over the past few years, I have grown tremendously. I still remember my first presentation; my hands were shivering, my voice was trembling, and It was quite challenging to get my words out loud. But with time, practice, and a lot of support, I overcame my fear, and all of you guys, my batchmates, had to bear my long, never ending presentations.

Participating in various college activities and clubs helped me build my confidence (A Lot).

Slowly but surely, I became comfortable with public speaking, managing things. By the time I was in my final year, I was leading presentations and speaking confidently in front of large audiences.

This transformation is one of the things I am most proud of.

Academic Achievements and Internships

During my BBA, I had the opportunity to work on six research papers. Each paper was a learning experience, teaching me how to analyze data, structure my thoughts, and present my findings clearly.

These research papers not only enhanced my knowledge but also sharpened my analytical and writing skills.

In addition to academics, I completed three internships in fields of Sales/Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Human Resource (and not in my specialization lol).

These internships were crucial in giving me real-world experience and a taste of the professional environment. I worked in different fields, learning various skills and understanding how businesses operate.

These internships were invaluable in shaping my career goals and aspirations.

And if anyone is willing to get an internship in his/her interested field, do ping me up!!

What's Next? Exploring Career Options

As I stand at this crossroads, I have several career options to consider. Here are a few paths I am excited about:

  1. HR Professional: With my BBA background, a career in Human Resources (HR) is a great option. HR professionals play a crucial role in any organization. They manage recruitment, employee relations, training, and development. It’s a field that requires good communication skills, empathy, and an understanding of organizational behavior. I enjoy working with people and helping them grow, making HR a fulfilling career choice for me.
  2. Content Curator: A content curator’s job is to find, organize, and share relevant content for a specific audience. The 2 Newsletters, namely Scholarly Digest and Dream Succeed. This involve researching and selecting articles, in future shall be working with videos, podcasts, or other media as well. Content curation requires a keen eye for quality content, strong organizational skills, and the ability to understand what the audience wants. It’s a role that blends creativity with strategic thinking.
  3. MBA: Last but not the least, and most unprioritized.

Reflecting on Growth and Looking Forward

As I reflect on my college journey, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment.

From a normal person afraid of speaking in public to a confident graduate with six research papers, three internships and two placement offers under my belt, the growth has been tremendous.

Each step, each challenge, and each success has prepared me for the professional world.

Now, as I look forward, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Whether I choose to be a content writer, an HR professional, or a content curator, I am confident that the skills and experiences I have gained will serve me well.
