A collection of RAMBLINGS #1

A collection of RAMBLINGS #1

Last weekend I received some timely inspiration, quickly followed by the desire 'share' a number of my ramblings. And so, whether fortunate or unfortunate, having started reading this piece of writing (note how I didn't call it an article) you are now unwittingly a victim to these ramblings.

For four rapid days I was the benefactor of guidance (and sarcasm) of @Marcus Powe, and it was throughout these days of discussion that the thought came to begin more widely sharing the experiences, opportunities and learnings that I have been privy to of late. The intent behind these short, snappy 'mind-dumps' is to share a piece of possible 'inspo' slash 'guidance' that has come of late - they won't always (if ever) be 'life-changing', but hey, I might surprise you...

“I don’t have a career, I do stuff out of curiosity"

I heard this statement a few days ago and thought 'that's how I want to live my life'. Effectively we're saying 'do what you love', or, make your passion pay the bills. Now whilst I am be no means 'wealthy' in the financial sense, I actually believe that I have hit a point in my short career where the statement above has become the reality - I wake each morning excited at the prospects and unknown challenges ahead, I have the chance to help others work towards their aspirations, and at the same time get to see some of the coolest s#!t being driven by entrepreneurs. With that all in mind, my challenge is to then ask YOU how real that statement is - Do you have a career, or do you get the chance to do stuff out of curiosity? There's no right or wrong, but to do what you enjoy and having the option to 'play' rather than 'work' is my place of passion.

I am going to enjoy your ramblings ?? I believe that life is to short to not play every day.
