Colleagues enjoy annual BBQ

As an award-winning employer, we know how important it is to keep colleagues connected, and how difficult that can be when operating a business over 10 different locations.?

So, imagine our delight at the very welcome return of our summer BBQ last weekend.

Held in the scenic surrounds of the Hammer & Pincers in Newton Aycliffe, colleagues enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect and relax in the glorious sunshine.

Along with their families, attendees enjoyed a BBQ and pizza, lawn games and for the very brave even axe throwing.

Andrew Craddock, Darlington Building Society Chief Executive said:

“We know how hard our colleagues work all year round, and our annual summer event is a way of showing our appreciation. As always, it was a fantastic day with the weather most definitely on our side.

“After what feels like such a long time, it was wonderful to be able to see colleagues in an informal setting once again. It was astonishing to see how much families have grown – the new additions and the simple difference a couple of years make.

“As ever, such successful social events don’t just happen. They’re the result of masses of hard work and organisation from Trish, and dependent on everybody’s attendance and good spirits on the day, so a huge thank you to all involved. Here’s to the next one.”
