Collard’s Commodity Corner .. for Wednesday October 30th
I am no stranger to the chaos in the Financial markets. My 40+ years of trading have spanned some of the worst "crashes" & Bear markets in history. I traded through the infamous "Black Monday" crash in 1987. Then the recession in 1992; the Dot.com bubble in 1999, the 2007 & 2008 Financial crisis, 2010 Flash crash, 2015 Stock market sell off & the 2020 CoronaVirus Stock market crash.....
Friends, Gold is at all-time highs. Last Wednesday; December Gold closed at: $2,729.40/oz. This morning it sits at: $2801.00 … That is a $61/oz gain in 1 week’s time (A potential Gain of $6100 on an Investment of 12,000.) And in our opinion it is going much, much higher.
Why? ... Gold is still at the base of Global monetary systems (Central Banks are buying Gold as fast as they can). Inflation continues (Food, energy and just about everything else.) Geopolitical instability continues to grow.
Gold was $1375/oz in June 2019; $1630/oz in Nov 2022. And it’s $2775/oz today. Meaning that Gold has doubled in price in the past 5 years. And, Gold has moved steadily higher with Dramatic momentum lately.
In 2019; the world population was 7.8 billion people. This year; 8.1 billion. Think about what this means. More mouths to feed (Grains, Softs); Energy usage (Crude Oil, Heating Oil & Gasoline) & Gold as an Inflation hedge. Inflation rates are much higher around the world. Population growth of this magnitude, usually pushes Commodity prices higher.
Friends, Investor psychology is the engine that will drive Gold prices to much higher levels than most Investors can imagine. This is it! The moment we’ve all been waiting for.
