Collaborative work for better tomorrow

These are personal thoughts.
Scenario : A nation
Problems facing the dispensation : Literacy, health for all, safety, poverty, traffic, integrity, roads, environmental degradation, corruption..........
Steps being taken/ processes being set/ policies being made or changed : Certainly yes but much work to be done.
Law makers( from all outfits) on the same page to solve these problems : Not really. They in fact are at logger heads.
Consequence : 1 step forward and 2 back.
Net result : National goals not achieved/ resources not optimally utilised/ public dissatisfaction.
When we live in a world of collaborative work, where professionals sitting in different countries around the world connect together to find solutions to problems, it is hard to imagine why the same cannot be achieved when it comes to solving issues facing a nation.
An organisation in which employees in various functions / levels consider their personal egos / prestige as more important than the organisation's strategic/ operational goals, results usually are far from encouraging. However, where there is an environment of collaboration and a cross-functional approach, without any unwarranted hang-ups, the organisation usually thrives.
It would be nice to see an incumbent dispensation boldly invite competent problem solvers from the opposition( ideologically) to solve problems of grave importance a collaborative manner.
The world would certainly be a much better place.
