?? What is the Digital Factory??

Fraport’s Digital Factory is a virtual unit within the company that serves as an internal “solution partner.” It brings together experts in digitalization and related fields to support various business areas, including Frankfurt Airport, other airports in the Fraport Group, and its subsidiaries. The main goal is to drive innovation by developing solutions. Each project runs for three months, during which the team creates a “minimum viable product” (MVP) – a simple, working version of a solution.?

The Digital Factory focuses on improving Fraport’s digital maturity and enhancing processes for our customers. The approach starts by identifying the best global examples in a specific area. These solutions are then adapted and implemented at Fraport through a collaborative process. This method helps speed up innovation and ensures that Fraport uses world-class solutions.?

Another important role of the Digital Factory is to keep an eye on emerging trends and introduce promising technologies to Fraport quickly and effectively.?

Since its launch in 2021, the Digital Factory has initiated 63 projects, 7 of them currently running, successfully created 48 MVPs, and supported the rollout of 32 solutions.??
