Collaboration exercise with Prezi

My team has been having some fun with Easter and created a Prezi all together. Easter is past, but I have been observing the whole exercise and was amazed myself. They had fun, collaborated, brainstormed and communicated using one single platform. I thought of sharing this amazing thing that happened at wOw Prezi with you all.

You can play with this Prezi here and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Who says we have to grow up? We can enjoy the childhood fun of an Easter egg hunt and increase your technical tools for your company. Prezi has a wide range of uses, and we had to put this to the test. As the holiday approached, we wanted to share gifts and an egg hunt with the world. We consult and design Prezi presentations. Why not use Prezi to spread some fun, gifts, and cheer?

Collaborating With Prezi Should Be Fun

The tools in the Prezi software should be used with a fun spirit. Like cooking food angry, people can taste it. So the essence of collaborating should be fun and have positive emotions vested into it. The audience can tell what emotions and care are put into creating material

Collaborating on this Easter Egg Hunt Prezi was fun for the team. They sat down and shared their thoughts on what makes an egg hunt fun. Finding all the common threads they liked, they decided this hunt should be in a park. And what is Easter without a few bunnies?

Once the team collaborated on a brainstorming level, they moved forward into their own skill sets. The first few frames of the Prezi are instructions, so the writing team thought of a great way to give simple instructions. The art team “dyed” the eggs to be hid.

Once the initial writing and designing was done, the free gifts had to be found. The team search for the best free tools that would add value to start-up companies and entrepreneurs. After searching and testing out the tools, they landed on 15 to share.

The next step of collaborating was hiding the eggs. Since Prezi allows 10 editors to collaborate at the same time, this was perfect for the hide. The team took their own set of eggs and had fun hiding them in the picture. They are scattered across the globe and that made this a real global effort.

Prezi Used in a New Way

Normally, a Prezi has a path that it follows. You click through the presentation and at the end, it is finished. With this specific use, the forward arrows only worked for a few frames. Once the instructions were conveyed, there were no more frames to follow. The people participating in the egg hunt can take control of the screen.

Since Prezi allows users to zoom in, out, and pan around freely, that is how this hunt became extra fun. The egg hunters have to control the screen to find the eggs. Written on the eggs are links to the tools. Each egg holds a different link to different tools. Many of the tools the team uses because they are great, free, and increase their working abilities.

Prezi doesn’t have to be used just for delivering a presentation. There are many other uses it can have. This is just one specific example that we had fun with. What are some ways you have used Prezi that was not for a presentation?

Pablo, I enjoyed your team's prezi so much I posted it to my Pinterest board: https://www.pinterest.com/teachmeprezi/prezi-gallery/ so anyone can find it and play in the park. I am delighted to hear about how your team collaborated on hiding the eggs. I can just imagine those little Prezi avatars moving about the canvas as you hid them in the park.
