The virtual Data Center of Comarch , a leading provider of business IT solutions in Europe, has just been launched in the Metaverse on the Mazer platform.

Exploring the Virtual Data Center

Globally, Comarch operates 16 data center facilities for collecting, processing, and protecting client data. However, inviting a client to the data center is not an easy task. Metaverse proved to be the ideal solution.

The virtual reality environment turned out to be the most powerful tool for showcasing Comarch’s offerings and familiarizing clients with the technology and equipment that enable data center operations to run uninterruptedly and securely. There is no better place to learn about the technology and equipment used by the company - such as UPS-support systems or modern power generators that ensure the continuous and secure operation of data centers.

Inaugurating the Comarch’s Data Center in the Metaverse is a continuation of the collaboration between Mazer and Comarch, confirmed in December 2023. A virtual tour of Comarch's technology is already available to its clients, so they can see firsthand how it works. All clients are welcome to use Comarch's virtual office, regardless of their location.

From Concept to Reality

On the Mazer platform, our engineers created a digital version of the Data Center located in Krakow, where Comarch's main office is situated. The facility, along with the server room, infrastructure, and virtual conference room with a presentation screen, has been meticulously reproduced down to the smallest detail. Visitors, using virtual reality goggles, can take a stroll through the DC corridors and see what the Comarch data center looks like on a 1:1 scale, as well as participate in real-time virtual meetings, regardless of their actual location.

In Mazer, we knew our goal was to create more than just a model. We wanted participants to be able to explore the virtual space on a natural scale in an interactive manner. Using a drone, we scanned the building and performed photogrammetric reconstruction as part of the preparations for the project.

Based on this information, our 3D graphics team created a virtual model of the building and its surroundings. Using hundreds of photographs, measurements, and 360-degree 3D panoramas, we recreated the Data Center rooms to the finest detail.
