But when you work with one of our architects, in this case, Suki Jhheent , you get behind you an architect who originally studied Interior Design, so not only does he have the technical expertise you will need but he has an amazing eye for detail too.

As part of our series of talking to our suppliers, customers and partners, we have recently met up with Suki, to get under the skin of what makes him the architect a client should choose to work with.

Suki is originally from Birmingham, where he initially studied at the Birmingham School of Architecture, he spent time in America at the University of Oklahoma and returned to the UK into the job market now with a BA in Architecture.

After graduating, he worked with a variety of practices, ranging from micro business to a large corporate practice in central Reading, but in 2017, Suki launched his own business ADSJ Associates.

It is important to Elivate that we work with practitioners who are registered and Suki is a Chartered member of ARB as well as a member of RIBA.

At our meeting with Suki he talked about how he works with Mark Fowles, Director at Elivate, commenting his knowledge and understanding of the regs and how they helps to build a relationship that has ‘joined up thinking’.

Describing the work he has done with Elivate ?He said “We are building a picture with the client”, which they have done on a number of occasions, the most recent being a side extension in Spencer's Wood and a part double and single rear storey extension in Caversham.

He said it was fabulous to see how Mark and his team had incorporated conservation bat tiles into the roof on the extension in Caversham to keep local bats nesting.

Suki has always loved to make things, which began with a fascination for Airfix as a child and has now turned into an expensive hobby where he makes scale models of old cars, setting them in authentic and lifelike sets before photographing them for his collection, it was fun to see some of the photos of the models he has created.
