Collaborate: with Otter & Zoom
Today's Concept: "Collaborate: with Otter & Zoom"
Ok, you're going to do a meeting with your team.
But, you don't love taking notes.
And, you're in management now. So, you need to pay attention to the visual information on the call (you know, the facial expressions of your team, the chat, etc).
And it's hard to keep track of that when you're looking down at your own notes. You need to focus.
You want to delegate.
But, you need a failsafe system to know the meeting is documented and summarized, and that you, yourself, understand all of the key takeaways and to-do items.
What do you do with AI to make this work?
Line up your Zoom.com call like you always do. Invite Otter to the meeting as a member of your Team.
Use Otter.ai for voice recognition, transcription, and take-aways. Then bring in a team member for a "human in the loop" to check Otter's work.
Otter will:
From the Otter.ai Mission Statement:
"Using artificial intelligence, Otter.ai makes information from voice conversations instantly accessible and actionable by generating real-time meeting notes and audio that is secure, shareable, and searchable."

Real World
Yesterday, in collaboration with my partner in Ohio, I did my first ever Otter with Zoom meeting.
So, I'm in California. By the Ocean.
My project partner is in Ohio. By the Woods.
We met in Zoom.
For two hours. Working intensely on a project. We are both big talkers.
I took no notes.
I had my mobile phone on a stand, by my laptop and my large monitor. The phone kept a running a real-time Otter Transcription in front of me. My iPhone 13 mini amazed me more than my BenQ 24" monitor. It was alive with word and image!
The Transcription, showing up one my iPhone, recorded Every Screen Share we did in the Two Hour call.
Pages we shared and worked on.
Images and Illustrations we worked on.
In perfect sync with the recording of our voices.
Searchable by topic and timestamp. I can walk away with it. No workstation necessary.
I'm never going back to how it was before. I'm hooked.
Tomorrow's Concept: Rapid Research with Perplexity
Tomorrow we are talking about how and why Perplexity is my favorite ai-copilot for rapid research and development.
See you tomorrow!
