Cold Weather is Approaching...

With extreme winter conditions approaching most of the United States, Amris Consulting wants you to be prepared. Below are a few tips to prepare for the extremely cold conditions:

The primary concerns during extremely low temperatures during a winter storm are loss of heat, power, and communication services, or shortage of supplies if conditions last longer than 1 day. To be properly prepared you should have the following items available:

• Flashlight and extra batteries
• Extra Water and foods that do not require cooking or refrigeration
• Extra Prescription Medication
• Baby Items such as formula and diapers
• First Aid supplies
• Properly ventilated Emergency Heat Source (Home fires are common during winter storms due to improperly vented heat sources or generators)
• Ample supply of heating fuel
