The world is witnessing lots of myths about health, and higher executives are more prone to disorders for a myriad of reasons. Bi-Proficiency is a campaign to bridge the gaps and fix all the loopholes in this regard.
With this newsletter, we aim to make executives aware of what they are losing, what must be done, and in which way! Wishing you a perfect pink of health and a happy reading as well!
Being a chief executive of a sophisticated organization is never a cakewalk! This is because every action and every decision you take, even in the personal province must be coherent with your productivity at the workplace. Anything that can detriment you at work must be strategically eliminated at all costs. Every second of the day and every action are contemplated on the grounds of the work schedule of the subsequent day.?
?How you prepare yourself to get into the arena of business also plays a pivotal role.
And a key concept is the selection of water temperature while you bath!
Well, this choice depends on a potpourri of factors like physiological conditions, state of mind, body type and its response to stimuli, and many others.?
The first thing to note is that whether water is warm or those refreshingly rejuvenating droplets are cool, the important thing in one must feel better while stepping out.?
After a tiring day, most people crave a hot bath for the restoring perks but taking a cold shower as a part of your daily routine can render plentiful perquisites.???
Showering in water at a temperature of 50-60F (10-15 degree Celsius) is considered a cold shower.?
British Journal of Sports Medicine has reported that cold shower increases heart rate, improves blood pressure, and enhances the respiratory rate, and all this translates to a better alertness.?
But this meta-analysis of existing cold water immersion research is not the only reason why I thought to create a letter for the CXOs in this regards.?
My aim was to explore the psychological aspects associated.?
And to delve into the details I tried it on myself for 5 years.?
And here is what I got!
The most important psychological context behind the cold shower is overcoming your fear- the fear of facing something that is not easy.?
The dreaded dreary feel of those tingling cold droplets falling on your warm body in the frosty environment is something capable to give Goosebumps to a striking majority.?
And leaving their comfort zone is what most people don’t like, in general.
?But if one made an unwavering commitment to face the challenge while leaving the comfort zone, then from the psychological context cold showering daily in the cold weather can help get a firm mindset!

Such a sturdy mindset is what CXOs need in their professional spheres. Sometimes one has to make tough decisions that might not get full support and can also get backlash & opposition. Such scenarios are common for chief executives. And to tackle this they have to be adamant with their decisions if it is good for all.?
This is a novel not-so-common benefit of cold showering daily. It can make you practice the mindset of facing fears and leaving your comfort zone behind. And in the long turn, this is going to make you a better leader.?
And all this I have experienced myself.???
Moreover, one can never question the power of feeling great physically, especially for team leaders.?
A cold shower helps retain body oils and keep the hair and skin hydrated. That dry itchy feel is not felt with cold showering.?
Better blood circulation and alertness have been mentioned earlier.?
But a cold shower also helps noradrenaline and beta-endorphins levels.?
Electrical impulses are sent from our nerve endings to our brain when we take cold showers, and this has an antidepressant effect on many individuals. Cold shower prevents you from catching a cold by heightening your immune system and therefore makes you more resistant to illness.?
Therefore, it is easier to conclude that the CXOs who are fit and fine and are not having any illness, which has chances of exacerbation, must try cold showering daily.?
But this discussion is not going to end here. I have experienced a lot more in the last five years that I will discuss in the upcoming letters on the same topic.?
To Be Continued…
Stay tuned for the specific researches in the realms of health & fitness for the executives.?

Jaideep, I could not agree more with you, I personally did no what to expect, but after being burnt out, a break down following a life changing injury I had nothing to lose and lots to gain. Like yourself I am 5 years in and never missed a day, if I am in pain I use contrast therapy, but always end on cold. You now must be ready to take your cold showers to the next level, push those mental limits, as you know the compound growth that comes from stepping into the cold ?? Like you, it changed much more for me, I stepped in just wanting to get off all the medication and manage the pain, well it did more and then some, like you said the psychological benefits are profound, and that is what set me off on my own journey, which I want to share with you. I don’t know if you ever get frustrated when the warmer seasons are here and the temperatures rise and we don’t get that same boost to our day???????? So I had epiphany while in the shower to build cold therapy technology, we have just launched our first product and we have an app to help people get started and track their benefits. Check out CryoShower #coldtherapy thank you for taking your time to read this, and I hope cold therapy can help you. ????? https://iceblast.shop/
