12th December 2024: Morning Page.

The cold light of a new day: Is something which we all experience. When you wake up and realize that not everyone is your friend and that its possible that some people are not who they seem. Who do I trust and share my darkest fears with? We all have that someone with whom we can confide in.

But as life becomes so much more competitive, so does the temptation to use information to a certain advantage. To gain a certain edge and skip to the front of the que.

What should I do? I could make all my close friends sign a non-disclosure notice. Or even just stop confiding in them. ?That clearly is not the answer. What I should do is in fact be wiser and more savvy in life and take more note of the things which occur in my life.

We have all been stung by the cruel act of betrayal. But we shouldn’t let this taint our relationship with other friends. In fact, we should value more highly those who have not betrayed us.

And so, to conclude. Be calm and enjoy your day but be a cautious and listen to your instincts. Please enjoy the season responsibly and make sure that no phone cameras are pointing at you when you do silly things.
