Find My is an application technology released by Apple. STEP 1:

Manufacturers to join the MFi (Made for iPhone/iPad/iPod) project, which is Apple’s integrated support program for third-party hardware accessory manufacturers. Joining MFi means agreeing to abide by Apple's regulatory requirements and authorizing the production of Find My compatible accessories.

STEP 2:

The hardware design must comply with Find My's specifications and must support the iAP2 protocol, such as using Apple's designated ultra-wideband chip solution to achieve accurate indoor and outdoor positioning. The device must also have enough storage space to save positioning data, and must be able to stably connect to the user's iOS device.

STEP 3:

The software needs to implement each core functional component in the Find My framework, such as real-time positioning, secure data transmission between the two, key management, etc. This needs to be done in close collaboration with Apple engineers.

STEP 4:

Hand over the complete product prototype to Apple for comprehensive functional and safety testing. All tests must pass, such as compatibility, performance, user experience, etc. Testing may require multiple iterations to complete.

Finally, after passing all tests, third-party products will be officially authorized by MFi and can be integrated with Find My in the consumer market. But even if it is certified, it still needs to be supervised by Apple to ensure that it keeps up with the latest technical specifications.?

In summary, through the MFi program, design verification and rigorous testing, third-party device manufacturers can officially connect their products such as card trackers to the Find My network, establish links with thousands of Apple devices, and provide a wider range of location services.

MFi’s certification process cycle:

STEP 1:

Applicants submit application materials on mfi.apple.com;

Two suggested cooperation options:

If you plan to make a card-type Find My finder, you can pass the MFi membership application after 20 working days. There are two suggestions:

Option 1:

After obtaining the development materials, authorize Shenzhen United Smart Card Co., Ltd. to develop software and hardware, and then provide the corresponding schematics/gerber files/test software that meet the requirements of the Find My framework to the customer for confirmation. If you have the ability to independently develop and test after obtaining MFi membership, you can take the developed semi-finished PCBA (here refers to the board with all components soldered) to Shenzhen Union Smart Card Co., Ltd. to evaluate whether the PCBA Comply with the cold pressing process requirements (generally the optimal size of PCBA is: 47*79mm, and the thickness of the finished card is the thickness of the highest point of PCBA plus a 0.4-0.6mm laminate layer); if there are no problems, you can quote for trial production and Processing costs after trial production and communication between both parties to confirm acceptance standards and testing requirements, etc. If the trial production samples can pass the MFi test, they will then enter mass production.

What is the difference between card trackers and GPS wallet trackers?

1. The main difference between the two is their connection range. The Bluetooth detector uses your phone's Bluetooth signal to connect up to 200 feet/60 meters away. When this connection is lost, your Wallet Finder's last known location will appear on the map in the Apple Find My app until they reconnect. GPS trackers use an external third-party system to stay connected and can display the tracking tag's real-time location at any distance
