Don't: Use a template intro email.

If you're going to take the time to write an intro email, make it personal and tailored for each prospect. If you want them to read it, then make sure they will want to read it!
Don't: Make it all about you.
You may think the introduction should be about you, but it's not. Cold emailing is about building relationships and building trust. Tell them what they will get from meeting with you and how it will benefit them.
Don't: Ask for anything.
Please don't ask them to buy anything or sign up. You're just introducing yourself and your company at this point. You can try asking them if they'd like more information later, but don't ask them for anything now.
