Cold Calls are OK

The cold calls this week will have the opportunity of being closed deals before the end of the quarter. Because you have a solution and not a pitch.
Think of genuine outreach, not generating a lead. Really think of the person you are reaching out to. Believe that you have a solution. Think of a long-term relationship. Focus on the solution you can provide today. Cold calls have reverence and purpose.
Really call someone cold. Where you have no other data than you would want them to be a customer. That is how it has been done for centuries and will be done. Data helps, but it is not the answer. You are the answer. You have the solution that someone needs and they happen to be very busy.
Make sure to rely on you, not your technology or apps. You are the one that makes it happen. You are the one who is responsible for providing an honorable sales process and providing a solution.
No matter what part you are a part of. Some sales teams have all technology possible with a huge number of inbounds some have 0 inbounds and an excel spreadsheet. All sales teams have quotas.
Close like your name is on it like you are responsible. Book the net meeting with your skills of providing a solution.
If I can help in any way please feel free to reach out.
BTW, tools like Chili Piper and teams like CIENCE really help. Reach out to them as needed.

2 年Well put. If you’re not asking the right questions and having a real conversation you can’t expect to find the pain points and close deals consistently.

2 年Thank you for writing this! Totally changed my perspective and what I thought cold calling was and the outcomes. I love your emphasis on relationship-building and solution focused, rather than just closing a deal and having a perfect sales pitch. Very helpful as I learn about being a successful SDR!

2 年You are so right Tim Savage ! I really have changed the energy in which I think about calling and it can be just as quick as getting in the energy of saying a blessing to and for the person that you're about to call. This way you know that you're doing a good deed no matter how it turns out because you're coming from a place of love, appreciation, and win win!
