Colby's Trip to Meet the Sydney Team

Back in October, I had the great pleasure to recently work from BaseUp Sydney Office for a little over two weeks.? Since joining the BaseUp team in June 2022, I had only interacted with the Sydney office virtually. We really only had about sixty-ninety minutes of overlapping business hours time just four days a week (Sydney’s Monday is Denver’s Sunday). This trip gave me the unique opportunity to have full work days with the whole Sydney team and hold some productive meetings.

Remote work is great and it provides access to talent anywhere, but there’s something to be said for being in the office together. Personally, I am a fan of hybrid work.? Not only did I just get to know my Australian colleagues better, but I learned so much from the team by just being able to swivel the chair and chat with them.? This trip left me with stronger friendships and greater knowledge about the inner workings of BaseUp. I can't wait to head back in the future to collaborate and learn more together.
