Cohort 5 Roundup: What's New in Our Community

Cohort 5 Roundup: What's New in Our Community

Dear wmnsWORK supporters and followers,

As the Founder of wmnsWORK, my heart bursts with pride to see how much the wmnsWORK community has grown since our launch in January 2022, and how much support we have received from the wider travel industry. Thank you!

Four weeks ago on September 16th, we kicked off our fifth cohort and we are absolutely blown away by the 17 women who have chosen to invest in themselves and their business by joining us on this journey. From the start on September 16th, participants have shown up as their most authentic, vulnerable selves in the process of building their businesses and following their dreams - and supporting each other. They are learning about managing overwhelm, prioritizing themselves and their health, and leaning into the highest versions of themselves to achieve results.

In the words of some of our Cohort 5 participants:

  • I have really been impressed by the sessions so far - they have been really thought provoking.
  • I am most proud that I chose to speak up and ask for help in the Thursday peer circle this week! I am grateful for the reflections in the group and have already started putting some of it in motion.?
  • I now have more steps towards securing strategic partnerships that will grow our brand awareness
  • Really transformed, what a journey! Beautiful exercises. It's so powerful to go through these prompts and exercises. This session was very unique, and I appreciate it at this time during my entrepreneurial journey. Super timely.
  • It's really helpful to see different angles /questions from which to frame building out specificity and structure to the business.
  • The strategic planning process helped me highlight some inflection points for improvement in my business that I can focus on for the remainder of Q4.

The workshops for Cohort 5 led by subject matter experts have included:

  • Mindset for Entrepreneurs (it all starts with mindset!)
  • Building a Business Aligned with Your Goals, Passions and Vision
  • Business Model Canvas
  • Strategic Planning 101

Our participants are also working through their North Star goals in our Peer Support Circles and with their individual mentors, each of whom were intentionally matched based on their personality, goals and business types.

Peer Support Circles are a mainstay of the wmnsWORK program and include 90-minutes of idea-sharing, asking for feedback, talking about what's holding us back, celebrating our wins, etc... the only two rules of the Peer Support Circles are: 1) Don't hold back on your good days and 2) Don't hold back on your bad days. This is the space where everyone shows up to be SEEN. ?

Many thanks again for your continued support. wmnsWORK would not be where it is today without the love, guidance and support we’ve received from the wider travel industry, and we cannot wait to share more with you as we continue to grow.

With gratitude,

Iris
