Cohort 2 of 'Ethraa' Program Marks a Milestone for EIF and Emiratization

The Emirates Institute of Finance (EIF), a trailblazer in banking and finance education and training in the region, celebrated a momentous occasion at its Dubai headquarters. It was an honor to unveil Cohort 2 of the "Ethraa" program, set to kick off in September 2023. This phase is dedicated to training 1200 talented Emiratis, drawn from the pool of candidates who participated in the 1st and 2nd "Ethraa" Career Fairs. These candidates will emerge from their training programs in late 2023, equipped with the skills necessary for a promising career in the financial sector.

Cohort 2 boasts an impressive lineup of 22 specialized training pathways, covering areas such as programming, finance and accounting, cybersecurity, compliance, data engineering and data analytics, auditing, financial technology (fintech), IT infrastructure and networks, human resources, product management, investment, project management, underwriting, and claims management.

The "Ethraa" Career Fairs bridges the gap between the financial sector and our aspiring leaders, significantly influencing their decision to pursue careers in finance. By guiding them, honing their skills, and providing practical experience through partnerships, we've equipped them for a path of continuous growth. We are confident that they will fulfill their responsibilities effectively, ensuring a bright and prosperous professional future.

By 2026, the "Ethraa" program aims to bolster Emirati representation in the financial industry by creating 5,000 job opportunities. EIF hosted the first and second "Ethraa" Career Fairs in May and July, connecting candidates with prominent banks and financial sector leaders. These fairs aimed to offer approximately 2,000 job openings, exposing top Emirati talent to over 60 key banks, insurance companies, exchange houses, and financial institutions. The career fairs witnessed the participation of 3,860 individuals, both male and female, with more than 2,500 successfully progressing through evaluation and employment interviews.

The future of the Emirati financial sector is bright, and EIF is committed to nurturing the talents that will drive its success.
