Coforma Launches Veterans Hiring Initiative

We’re also a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) committed to serving the Veteran community both through our work and our hiring, training, and retention practices. The Veteran experience is a central aspect of Coforma’s founder’s identity. Our CEO Eduardo Ortiz’s philosophy towards design and business was partially informed by his time in the US Marine Corps and then his subsequent experience as a transitioning service member and Veteran.?
From our founding onward, Veterans services have been a key focus area of the work we do. We’re honored to work alongside our nation’s Veterans, their families, caregivers, and providers, in partnership with government agencies, to find ways to improve both the services that our Veterans receive and their experiences in accessing services.
In addition, we value the depth of experience, knowledge, and character of service members—qualities we believe are crucial to the strong, diverse workforce Coforma is building. Through our new Veterans Hiring Initiative, we pledge to actively hire Veterans through a hiring process tailored to Veterans’ needs and experiences, while creating a workplace that has the resources to support their growth, wellness, and success.
The VHI vision will initially include revamping our recruitment and hiring practices to better support Veteran hiring, internal support resources and programs for our Veteran staff, mentoring other organizations, and developing partnerships with those who wish to support Veterans and achieve similar goals.
