A coffee offer tailored to your needs

The harvest in Peru continues to progress well, mainly at high altitude. Excellent overall coffee quality has been found compared to last year. Nevertheless, there is strong speculation about a lack of coffee that should manifest in the next few months, which is reflected in our current offer.

That is why we are collecting field information to see how serious this problem is. We hope to have a report for you very soon. For this week, we want to inform you about our updated available offer. We expanded our offer beyond fair trade and organic to include conventional coffees and coffees with other certifications. Until next week, here is some news from Peru:

Peruvian State News:

The targeted quarantine continues in the Northern coffee growing regions such as Utcubamba and Bagua in the Amazonas region, and Jaen and San Ignacio in the Cajamarca region. As we mentioned in previous communications, this should not affect the flow of coffee as the shutdowns are expected to continue to spare all previously-approved economic activities (including agriculture).

Field News:

• Northern Peruvian producers are still harvesting, depending on altitudes:
• Lower part (1,000 – 1,300m): 100% collected - 100% sold
• Middle part (1,300 – 1,600m): 90% harvested – 50% sold
• Higher part (1,600m): 40% collected – 20% sold
• May and July shipment delays, along with a backlog in green coffee processing plants, continue to push back export lead times.
• Despite the rise in “C” Market prices, domestic prices are still higher.
