Coffee Fest Comes to Portland with NEW Introductions including Community Events & Opportunities for Coffee Enthusiasts

Coffee Fest, the premier resource for the specialty coffee community, heads to Portland this June with all new events and features.?Long known as the business resource for owners, operators, baristas, roasters and more, Coffee Fest Portland will introduce a series of pre-show events for the PNW coffee community as well as a new?line of programming for serious home enthusiasts, or “prosumers”, designed to bridge the gap between coffee professionals and consumers. Events will happen throughout June, culminating in Coffee Fest, which takes place June 13-14 at the Oregon Convention Center.

Coffee Fest?has partnered with several local institutions to provide fun and informative events for both coffee pros and enthusiasts leading up to the show.?These events, designed to build excitement and connect the community, will?be open to Coffee Fest pre-registrants. A full calendar will be released, but events will include Coffee, Books & Wine hosted at?Guilder at Powell’s City of Books and Portland Coffee Walking Tours hosted by Third Wave Coffee Tours, as well as workshops, panel discussions, throwdowns and more.

Beginning on Friday, June 13, Coffee Fest will kick off at the convention center with leading brands and extensive schedule of education and networking. Prosumers, including home brewers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and those with an interest in coffee culture and insider knowledge about the industry, will be welcome Saturday, June 14, from 12 PM to 4 PM. This unique opportunity allows coffee lovers to taste, learn and connect – engaging directly with industry experts, purchase high-end coffee equipment, and learn about coffee preparation techniques.

The prosumer day aims to integrate a consumer-facing segment into the traditional B2B event, catering to the growing number of coffee enthusiasts who are eager to enhance their home brewing experience or one day open their own business. As one of the most vibrant and respected coffee scenes in the country, the Portland event was the perfect home to launch this new initiative.

Home enthusiasts will have the chance to get behind the scenes access to industry professionals and learn from the best and brightest in specialty coffee, participate in tastings from local roasters, source coffee and home equipment, take part in hands-on training, live demos and?connect with other coffee lovers and professionals.

On the exhibit side, the addition of enthusiasts gives manufacturers an opportunity to showcase their home lines as well as get much valued feedback from influential end-users of their products that impact purchasing decisions in cafés and beyond.
