COFFEE IS ESSENTIAL... MAKE MORE.

The last few years at Morning Glory Coffee have been full of ups and downs. Family health issues, a fire that stopped our ability to produce coffee for eight weeks, and then a gas leak in our facility that shut us down for another month this November. For a small family operated business the challenges at times were overwhelming. We have been steadily working our way back to a normal routine over the last few months, never losing sight of our mission to provide the best tasting, freshly roasted coffees to our customers. 

One thing that does not change in a food manufacturing operation, regardless of challenges, is regulation and inspections. We are regulated and inspected by the State of Montana, Gallatin County Health Department and finally by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We recently were surprised by our friendly FDA inspector, and we are happy to say that we passed our inspection with flying colors. 

What does FDA Inspected Mean?

The FDA inspects facilities to insure they meet safety regulations outlined for their facility, industry, or products. In the case of Morning Glory, this is imported, roasted and packaged coffee. The FDA pre-approval inspections, routine inspections, and “for cause” inspections of food processing facilities, dairy farms, and animal feed processors are designed to ensure the products produced are safe to eat, contain no harmful substances, are produced under sanitary conditions, and are truthfully labeled.

We take pride in the products we produce, and although it can make for a stressful day, we welcome inspections and the reassurance that come with them. Now it's time to make more coffee!
