Coffee & Concrete: Pole Base Project Pics!

I'm keeping things light this week with a few great photos of a great Pole Base project! The Aster Brands/Pole Base Marketing Team completed a full-length case study on the project featured in today's newsletter. If you'd like to read the whole story, click/tap here.

There are so many beautiful lakes to explore in Northern Michigan, Walloon Lake in Charlevoix County being one of them! A total of 25 Pole Bases were installed at the Walloon Marina project. The Pole Bases on this project were designed to fit a decorative light pole, and the bases themselves feature an architectural bevel.

Notice the clean lines on the Pole Bases, and how each base blends in with landscaping elements, all the while providing illumination to the marina's pathways.

The above photo shows a Pole Base prior to a light pole being attached. The bolt projection required for the specific light poles on this project was designed and precasted directly into each Pole Base, allowing installers to simply auger the hole needed for the base, pop the base in, backfill and attach their light pole!

It doesn't get any simpler than that.

Developers of the Walloon Marina project agreed precast Pole Bases were the best fit for their project, both for aesthetic appeal and for keeping construction efforts on time. Installing each Pole Base takes 30 minutes to 1 hour, whereas traditional cast-in-place methods may take days to complete. Pole Base just makes sense.
