Today, the spotlight's on Ekbal Gharbi, Senior Sales Engineer, based in Dubai. She joined Cofense in 2017. We asked her to share her story about her life with Cofense. Her answers are in her own words, edited for length and clarity.?

Q) What do you like about your job? What is the most fun part of your job? ?

A) My job as a sales engineer is very exciting, especially my contribution in closing deals. When we have a technical win after a proof of concept or a demo, and having short sales cycles, or winning new business, this makes me proud of my work and gives me the feeling of achieving a great job. Moreover, as an SE, learning is continuous especially in the cybersecurity world where the pace of innovation is very fast. Finally, the flexibility that I have is very important to me. I don’t have to do a boring desk job from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; I can manage my schedule myself.?

Q) How has your background helped you in your day-to-day work??

A) I graduated as a telecommunications engineer and worked for more than seven years in technical support positions. That helped a lot in my current position. During my college studies, I had to present my work multiple times to a big audience which gave me good presentation and communication skills. Moreover, working as a technical support engineer in different multinational companies enhanced my ability to investigate and resolve issues, and escalate and communicate better with other teams and customers. Plus, being Tunisian, I'm fluent in Arabic, French and English, which helped me cover all countries in my region, and even give support to other regions. ?

Finally, being a woman working in cybersecurity is not always an easy job. I am grateful that Cofense gave me this opportunity, believed in me, and has kept encouraging and promoting me.?
