Codento is accelerating its expansion into Sweden and other Nordic countries with the support of private equity firm Saari Partners. In recent years, Codento has deepened its collaboration with Google Cloud and significantly developed its expertise in Google Cloud technologies. Codento’s growth strategy is driven by the increasing interest of Nordic client companies in Google Cloud and AI projects.?
The goal of Saari Partners and Codento is to accelerate the company’s growth and expansion as a Google Cloud partner for Nordic clients, not only organically but also through acquisitions. Codento employs 45 professionals and had a revenue of 5,3 million euros in 2023. The investor specializes in scaling service companies from 5 to 25 million euros.???

Telia partnered with Codento to develop a multitenant edge computing platform. Initially, cloud technologies weren't mature enough for their vision. However, the 2023 release of Google Kubernetes Engine for Enterprise provided the necessary tools for resource isolation, scalability, and security. This breakthrough enabled Codento to build the innovative edge platform Telia had envisioned, offering cost-effective, secure, and flexible computing resources for software providers.

Telia partnered with Codento due to their shared vision of edge computing in telecom, deep knowledge of relevant industries, and extensive cloud expertise, particularly with Google Cloud technologies across the Nordic region.
?? The Results
Telia and Codento created a pioneering 5G-integrated edge computing platform on Google Cloud, enabling secure and cost-efficient application development. A video analytics pilot with Finferries in September 2024 marked its first public deployment.
