The Cockroach Theory – A Beautiful Concept to Understand LIFE

There was a lady sitting in a restaurant. Suddenly, a cockroach flew from somewhere and sat on lady’s finger.

She started screaming & jumping out of fear with a trembling voice desperately trying hard with both her hands to get rid of that cockroach. Her reaction was contagious as it started affecting others in the group. She finally managed to push the cockroach away but it landed on another lady in the group.

After so much nuisance created by the first lady, it was the turn of the second lady to create the drama. As soon as the waiter came to know about this, he rushed forward to rescue them. In that relay of throwing, the cockroach next landed upon the waiter. The waiter stood firm and observed the behaviour of the cockroach. When he was confident enough he grabbed the insect and threw out of his restaurant.

Think! Was the cockroach responsible for the dramatic behaviour of those ladies? If that so, then why the waiter was not disturbed?

Lesson learnt:

It is not the shouting of your boss, your father, your husband, your mother that disturbs you, it is your inability to handle the situations / disturbances caused by them.

It is not the problem that creates chaos in our lives, rather it is the way we react to different problems that come across our lives.
