Cobra Kai Never Dies ??. Neither Should Your Dreams ??

How are those goals coming along, Rutter Nation?

I’ll admit that three of my goals areas are doing well (read six books so far, started writing at least 500 words a day towards my first book, and blessed to have created a financial portfolio where the net worth doesn’t have one of minus signs in front of it.) The fourth area (morning fitness routine) needs adjustment and action.

Cobra Kai Never Dies - Neither Should Your Dreams

I wanted to share with you that this month on the podcast I did a 3-part series on three ruts we may face in life. These are presented from the perspective of reviewing the paths of three main character arcs from the original Netflix series called “Cobra Kai.”

If you grew up in the 1980s or at least watched the original trilogy of The Karate Kid, you may have heard of this series on Netflix. Cobra Kai picks up the story from the lens of the original villain Johnny Lawrence who bullied the hero, Danny LaRusso. It takes place 34 years after the original trilogy. Ralph Macchio comes back playing the role of Daniel Larusso. William Zabka returns as Johnny Lawrence. Spoiler alert - We even have villain John Kreese back from obscurity to make his mark in the story.

Once you get past the cheesiness of the show, some deeper themes do emerge. Most viewers comment on how the show takes a look at how the bullied can flip to become bullies, redemption, and self-confidence.

The three characters I mentioned earlier, Johnny Lawrence, Danny LaRusso, and John Kreese also present three ruts that just couldn’t be ignored. I’ll take some time to introduce each of these episodes to you, and invite you to click on one to listen to and share today.
