Looking to improve efficiency, safety and flexibility across the shop floor, Thorn Lighting turned to automation to support the production of the 8,000 luminaires created every single day at their Spennymoor plant.?

Cobots Online integrated three CoboTend’s, utilising the latest technology from Universal Robots , to carry out a range of tasks, from press brake machine tending, material bending, and screw driving.

MACH look back

MACH Exhibition was a fantastic opportunity to witness the latest innovations and technologies driving the manufacturing industry forward, and Cobots Online were proud to be a part of it.?

We were thrilled to showcase the machine tending capabilities of CoboTend, and the welding excellence that CoboWeld delivers. It was great to catch up with our customers at MACH 2024 and meet so many people looking to advance their business through automation.

Over on our CoboTend stand, we had the pleasure of sharing SICK Sensor Intelligence End-of Arm-Safeguard (EOAS) for Universal Robots coming in September 2024. The new EOAS closes the protection gap around the end-of-arm-tooling against hazards of crushing and enables safe human-robot collaboration.
