Coastal Amateur Radio Society Field Day
Savannah, Georgia - Coastal Amateur Radio Society Field Day 2017

Coastal Amateur Radio Society Field Day

June 24th-25th – 24 hrs - 2 PM Saturday till 2 PM Sunday

From its beginning back in the 1930’s, Field day has been an event to test field preparedness and emergency communications abilities of the amateur radio community.

The object of Field Day is to work as many other radio stations as possible, in less than optimal conditions. All antennas will be put up temporary and all our power for the radios will be from batteries and/or generators.

Plan to stop by, meet our members and see what we do in an emergency. Bring your family to look at some of our “show and tell” exhibitions. Learn about a wonderful hobby, even operate a station radio if you would like.

To get there, take airport exit off 95, go towards airport, take a left at first red light, go about 1/2 mile around the curve and its on the right, we will have yellow Ham Radio Event signs out. The Field day address is 194 Crossroads Parkway, Savannah.

There is no charge, open to the public during the entire 24 hour event. For more information, please contact us at the link below.
