Job Summary:


As the lead for the 2-person HR team, the HR Director will be critical in ensuring the company is prepared to continue to meet its business goals ‘through the people’! We’re looking for a hands on HR Director that is comfortable in a player/coach model to oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee development. The ideal candidate must have solid leadership skills and a track record of successfully implementing HR strategies and practices in a manner that facilitates the business objectives.


Responsibilities:


· Develop and implement HR strategies that align with company goals

· Manage all recruitment and selection for World Energy; create efficient processes, generate candidate pool ensuring a diverse slate for every role; assess candidates and ensure only top talent is hired

· Create individualized assimilation planning for all new hires to increase full efficacy of new hire

· Create talent ‘brand’ both internally and externally

· Lead compensation pay practices to ensure competitive packages, pay equity and alignment with World Energy’s business model and strategy

· Lead employee engagement and culture practices that align with and facilitate business strategy

· Establish a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits policy and practices

· Continue to evolve performance management systems and practices to manage employee productivity and performance effectively

· Develop learning and development programs to address teammate growth and professional development as well as future capabilities needed

· Proactively and reactively deal with employee relations issues to cultivate a positive, highly productive and respectful workplace culture

· Oversee HR Compliance and ensure all strategies, policies and practices comply with labor laws and regulations

· Oversee immigration philosophy and practices; support processes with materials and guidance necessary

· Create and execute a DEI program that aligns with World Energy’s overall business objectives, company culture and teammate desires.



Required Skills and Experience:


· Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, or Business Administration

· MBA or related advanced degree preferred.

· SHRM – CP, or SHRM – SCP certification preferred.

· 10 + years of HR experience, with experience in all facets of HR; managerial experience a must.

· Self-starter who takes the initiative and works effectively individually or as part of a team with strong collaboration skills

· Practical understanding of organizational structures, functions, change management and practices to cultivate a more effective organization

· High proficiency with recruitment strategies, processes, assessment techniques and experience driving the right talent into the organization

· Well-developed written/verbal communication skills are required

· Knowledge of and experience with all types of benefit plans and designs

· Knowledgeable in creating competitive compensation packages and incentives aligned with both internal and external standards

· Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws

· Knowledge of DISC and/or other assessment tools preferred

· Ability to influence leaders at all levels to take a course of action that will be beneficial to the company and teammates

· Experience with leadership development programs and execution

· Ability to manage a variety of situations while maintaining a positive work environment

· Experience with DEI planning and execution to align with company business objectives

· Ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and make sound business decisions

· Advanced knowledge of HR operations and how they align with the company’s overall business strategy

· Experience with strategies and techniques to manage employee performance to increase productivity and help achieve organizational objectives.

· Knowledge of and experience with data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR and make data-driven decisions

· Track record of successfully impacting a complex business strategy and achieving organizational objectives through the people.
